Client: Aztec Grill
As Creative Director and Photographer, I was approached by Aztec Grill in partnership with Chevron to direct and photograph the launch of their new Mexican food line. This campaign marked the official media debut of Aztec Grill’s brand, strategically aligning it with Chevron’s statewide network. Selected imagery from the shoot was featured across California in 5x5 large-format print window displays and prominently positioned alongside participating Chevron gas pumps, maximizing visibility. This impactful campaign spanned the entire state, driving brand recognition for Aztec Grill and strengthening their long-standing partnership with Chevron, which continues to thrive today.
The Process
The original concept presented by The Aztec Grill Group felt a little flat and lacked the visual excitement they were hoping for. After working through a few mock-ups, we landed on a more "larger-than-life" and festive feel. I gathered all the elements that are synonymous with Mexican cuisine and began incorporating them into the frame, creating a vibrant, immersive experience. The final result was full of visual energy, and the feedback was incredible—many people mentioned how hungry they felt just from looking at the imagery!
